A Poem for Archivists' Day
from Joan Milligan
Now it is the first of May
The date marked as Archivist Day
And next to my PC I sit
Writing something that would fit
To those who work hard day and night
To bring our stories to the light
One grateful poem, so they'd know
The happiness their sites bestow
To all you archivists I tell:
Don't forget HTML
May you never suffer fools
Who ignore submission rules
May your lovely sites remain
Treasured in CFAN
May your guestbooks quickly swell
Of many visitors they'd tell
May your archives win awards
And may you always have a shard
Left of free time! And finally
May you always know and see
How the storytellers, we
Wish you hope and luck and glee!
So it's short! But it comes straight from the heart!
